However, shortly after laying out these ambitious plans, Frank retired to pursue his dream of building a steam engine, passing the torch to his son, Luke Rothwell.

Known for his commitment to energy efficiency, Luke spearheaded the installation of the largest solar array in Greater Manchester in 2011, covering Manchester Cabins' two sites. With an abundance of solar energy but no additional gas supply available, it was clear that electricity would be the primary heat source. We faced a conundrum: how to heat the factory without compromising power for lighting and machinery.

Discovering the Perfect Solution

After extensive research, we discovered Winterwarm and their efficient heat pump systems. Their 4:1 ratio heat pumps provided an ideal solution, allowing us to design a system that was both viable and sustainable. With the calculations in place, the project moved forward, aligning with our commitment to innovative and energy-efficient solutions.
